Urgent Care Centre

This urgent care centre is open 24/7 and treats injuries or illnesses that are not life threatening, for example, sprains and strains, broken bones, minor burns and scalds, minor head injuries, bites and stings.

Minor Injuries Unit
St Albans City Hospital, Waverley Road, St Albans, AL3 5PN
This minor injuries unit can only see adults and children aged over four years old. Open 9am - 8pm every day (please note X-rays are only available 9am - 4.45pm Monday to Friday). At the minor injuries unit a nurse can diagnose and treat bites and stings, cuts and grazes, minor burns, minor eye injuries, minor head injuries, removal of foreign bodies from the ears or nose, removal of splinters, sprains and strains, suspected broken bones (however X-rays are only available 9am - 4.45pm Monday to Friday). There are no doctors at the minor injuries unit.
