Batman Cardboard Tube Craft

25 January 2017 by Kirsty 1 Comment

In anticipation of the new Lego Batman film release we have been getting creative. This is a really fun and easy Batman craft. You can make your own Batman, Alfred, Robin and Batgirl from a few simple craft supplies.

Batman and Robin Cardboard Tube Craft DIY

To make this Batman craft you will need:

  • Batman, Alfred, Robin and Batgirl templates (click the links to open the templates)
  • Coloured paper (grey, black, purple, yellow, brown, green, red, light blue, pink and white)
  • Cardboard tubes
  • Scissors
  • Glue and some sticky tape
  • Pencil
  • Black Pen

We made one character at a time, so we didn’t get mixed up with lots of different bits of paper flying around. It doesn’t matter which character you are making the method is the same.

Take a look at this video which shows you how to make your own Batman and Alfred cardboard tube characters…

Batgirl and Robin Cardboard Tube Characters

For help with making your own Batgirl and Robin cardboard tube characters take a look at this video…

The first thing that you need to do is to print out the templates (click on the links above), chose a character and then cut out the templates.

Next, draw around your template shapes onto your coloured paper or card.

Then you need to cut out the coloured paper shapes and glue the pieces into place.

There is plenty of cutting and sticking to do but that’s all there is to it and the end result is a collection of great looking characters.

Once the glue is completely dry you can play with your Batman, Batgirl, Alfred and Robin characters. Why not use them to try and make your own animation? I have some great Batman posts coming soon so make sure that you follow The Mummysphere social media channels, or subscribe for the newsletter, so that you don’t miss anything!
