CrossFit Kids sessions bring fitness and fun together! Kids love these positive, energetic classes, which are carefully planned to develop skills, as well as building stamina, strength, flexibility, agility, balance and speed.
What is CrossFit Kids?
CrossFit Kids teaches CrossFit to children aged 3 to 18 years old, with the emphasis on fun! Expect a wide variety of activities starting with a warm-up to get the body moving, followed by carefully designed activities that make exercise enjoyable: from obstacle courses to team games. Every week your child will get their body moving, improve fitness, become stronger and grow in confidence.
Every child can join in, no matter what their skill level or experience. Children and teenagers follow a tailored programme that has an intensity and load scaled to them, to enable every individual to achieve and progress: this could be learning to do a handstand, a pull-up, lift an object, or jump onto a box. CrossFit Kids gets kids active and teaches them how to move well as they grow and develop.
CrossFit Kids is based on the mechanics of the body and helps to enhance sports performance and reduce the risk of sports injuries for kids. Regular physical exercise also benefits cognitive function, which can have a positive impact on children’s academic achievement.
CrossFit Kids can be found in over 1,800 gyms and more than 1,000 schools worldwide and continues to grow. CrossFit Kids in St Albans is led by Claudia Luscombe-Whyte. Claudia is a mum of two and is a fully qualified CrossFit Trainer who regularly coaches adult CrossFit, CrossFit Kids and one-to-one sessions.

Age Range
CrossFit Kids classes are divided into three age-specific groups:
CrossFit Tykes (30 minutes class) – 3 to 6 years old
CrossFit Rascals (45 minutes class) – 7 to 12 years old
CrossFit Avengers (50 minutes class) – 13 to 17 years old
Where are classes held?
CrossFit Kids classes are held at CrossFit St Albans, a large, bespoke CrossFit gym, which opened in July 2014. You’ll find CrossFit St Albans in the London Road Business Park off London Road, St Albans, Hertfordshire, AL1 1PN.
