Family Days Out In February in Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire

18 January 2020 by Kirsty Leave a Comment

There’s a chill wind blowing this morning. This time of year is cold and bleak and I’m really struggling to find my motivation.

Time to look ahead, make plans and possibly go and buy a bag of grit in case any of the white stuff arrives. So far it’s actually been a mild winter and at the weekend I saw daffodil leaves poking through the moss and leaves. The signs of Spring are starting to appear… slowly!

Whilst I’m looking ahead, here’s 50+ fun family days out and things to do in Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire in February 2020. There’s snowdrop walks, stargazing and lambing to look forward to, as well as lots of fantastic, warm, indoor family theatre shows to book up for the February Half Term holidays.

The weather can change and so can the details of events, so please check directly with the venue or organisers BEFORE you travel.

Stowedrops and Winter Flowers at Stowe

From Sunday 12th January to Sunday 22nd March 2020 visit the National Trust Gardens at Stowe for ‘Stowedrops’. Follow the brand new route and explore unseen paths through Lamport garden. Follow the map to reach unseen views of the lakes. As spring develops, find pockets of daffodils covering the hills, wood and blue anemones on the rocky banks, turks head tulips, crocuses, snakeshead and imperial fritillaries and aconites… to name a few… all with the backdrop of Grecian style temples. Visit the website for more information.
