Louise is an experienced midwife offering private antenatal classes, postnatal midwifery support and birth reflection services, at a place and time to suit you.
Louise has over 15 years experience working as a midwife in the NHS and she has been running private antenatal classes for more than 10 years. Louise continues to combine her midwifery work in the NHS with her private midwifery services, allowing you direct access to an experienced midwife with an up-to-date, working knowledge of local maternity services.
Private Antenatal Classes
Louise offers private antenatal classes for first time parents, refresher antenatal classes, VBAC classes, as well as twins and multiple births classes. Louise’s Antenatal Classes are just for you, one-to-one or with your birth partner. Sessions are held at your chosen venue (usually your home) and at a time that is convenient for you.
Louise’s private antenatal classes help you to understand the process of birth, increase your confidence and alleviate anxieties. Louise works with you to ensure that you have the information that you need to be prepared for the arrival of your new baby or babies. All sessions are bespoke and tailored to cover the latest evidence-based information on topics relevant to you.
It may be that group antenatal class times don’t work for you because of work commitments, or your personal circumstances may mean that a ‘one-size fits all‘ antenatal class for expectant couples isn’t appropriate for you. Louise is passionate about enabling you to feel prepared and confident about your labour and birth, all at a time that suits you. Book private antenatal classes with Louise and you will have direct access to an experienced midwife with years of experience working in NHS maternity services.

Postnatal Midwifery Support
Louise provides postnatal midwifery support for families in addition to your NHS midwife service. Louise can check that your baby is feeding well, give you advice to help establish breastfeeding, check for tongue tie and recommend services if you need further support. If you have non-urgent concerns about your own health Louise can give you advice and support. Louise’s postnatal midwifery support is intended to compliment the NHS midwife service and should not replace it.
Louise is available during the day, in the evenings and at weekends and can come to you at a time that fits into your schedule.
Birth Reflection Service
Louise is an experienced, practising midwife. Louise’s birth reflection service provides you with the opportunity to talk about your labour and birth experience at a time that is convenient for you and in the comfort of your own home. Louise will listen to you and then explore what happened and try to explain events. The birth reflection service is your opportunity to clarify your birth experience and talk through any unanswered questions you may have.
