The Mill House Hertford is owned and run by the energetic and inspiring Charlie. Every Tuesday during term-time The Mill House Hertford is home to Charlie’s creative drop-in sessions Little Scribblers (2-4 years old) and Little Artists (4-8 years old) and this summer the fun continues as you can book your child’s place on range of special Summer Art Workshops, especially for children aged 2-10 years old.
Summer Art Workshops
Young imaginations are free to get creative at The Mill House Hertford’s Summer Art Workshops. There’s a range of sessions to choose from, ending with a Summer Art Party finalé, where work created throughout the summer workshops will be displayed in a large installation.
Every session has it’s own special theme from Under The Sea to Unicorn Art Attack, Pirates to Outer Space and Rainforest Wildlife to Creepy Crawly Bugs. Everyone who attends a Summer Art Workshop is also entitled to FREE entry to the Summer Art Party celebration at the end of the holidays, or if you can’t make the summer workshops you can still drop-in and join the Summer Art Party celebration on Tuesday 27th August 2019, for just £7 per child and enjoy the arts, crafts and games for everyone.
What To Expect
Children will be able to print, paint, create and make on small and large scale projects, developing new skills, having fun and working with a range of materials in a relaxed, inspiring environment.
Activities change each week, depending on the theme, so your child could create their own rainforest exploration kit, create their own jet pack to wear, make their own bug house, decorate their own treasure box and treasure map, or even make a unicorn themed bracelet. Take a look at the themes and choose the ones that suit you best.
Sessions last 2 hours and provide opportunities for children to create something to take home, as well as the chance to contribute to a large group installation, which will then form part of the large exhibition at the Summer Art Party at the end of August.
How To Book
Choose the Mill House Hertford’s Summer Art Workshops that suit you and book online. Siblings are welcome, however, make sure you email Charlie at firstname.lastname@example.org, so that she can make sure that age appropriate materials are available on the day.
Parents or carers can stay, get involved and join in the creative process, or there’s space to sit with a laptop, with tea and coffee available too.
Don’t forget that if you attend one of the Mill House Hertford’s Summer Art Workshops then you are also entitled to FREE entry to the Summer Art Party celebration on Tuesday 27th August 2019.
