This year St Albans comes alive with two weeks of culinary capers and foodie festivities, during the St Albans Food & Drink Festival 2018, which runs from Wednesday 26th September to Saturday 6th October 2018, including the St Albans Food and Drink Feastival on Sunday 30th September 2018.
St Albans Street Feastival
The highlight of the St Albans Food and Drink Festival will be the Street Feastival on Sunday 30th September 2018, 12-6pm. St Albans City centre will be closed to traffic and thousands of people are expected to take to the streets to enjoy the finest of local food and drink from more than 100 market traders, as well as pop-up restaurants, cafés and pubs all serving up a wide range of dishes inspired by flavours from around the world. Entry to the Street Feastival is free.
The Moroccan Bar hosted by Poppycock will be the place to discover your new favourite cocktails. There will also be live music and a variety of artisan food and drink stalls. Oaklands College Farm will be bringing along animals bred and reared at Oaklands College… look out for the cow and learn how the farmers milk them!
Young foodie fans can bring along a teddy for the Teddy Bears Picnic, get creative at the kids craft stalls and keep an eye out for free face painting! There will also be a Live Cookery Theatre with inspiring demonstrations and talks from talented local chefs including Phil Thompson, Kate from The Abbey Restaurant, Theo Michaels, Martin West, Christo & Son from Ye Olde Fighting Cocks and more!
